Tow session in Hirtshals 26.12.2011.
The forecast looked promising for some serious waves, so Steen Carstens and Rasmus Sangill came up to Hirtshals with the Jetski, to do some tow surfing. I hook up with them, and was wery excited to get my first tow session. Despite the good looking forecast, the waves were not as big as we had hoped for! We didn`t get the big adrenaline kick this time, but we still scored nice waves, and took home some good experience…. till next time. // Mads Ejstrup. (more…)
Vans “Six in the Mix” – a nordic surf experience 2011
A special video for a special surf event – please check out the brand new edit of the Vans “Six in the Mix” presented by Relentless Energy Drinks and NORDEN Surfboards. A unique surf contest format: whoever surfes all six special shaped surf boards best is the winner! And those boards are not just any boards… If you aren’t sure what this was all about, you should know by then. Riders like Adrian Siebert, Mor Meluka and Pontus Hallin were challenged to show their allround talent. Nice nordic scenery guaranteed!

Plasma Spring Session…
It was a fantastic day on the beach at Bunkers – Klitmøller, and this is how it turned-out at the end of the PLASMA Spring Session. 3th and 4rd went to Jonas Bronnert & Mads Ejstrup. 2nd was Peter Van Der Merwe. And 1st place goes to Mor Meluka, after a sick ride out there, scoring some seriously high points!! We’re wrapping things-up here. PLASMA will post a summary of the whole event later, on the PLASMA website & on facebook. Pictures from the ewent will also be posted here on Surfersjournal.
Riding the storms
The last few weeks, we have been surfing in gale force winds on the west coast. When the winds are this strong, normaly the only spot that works, is right next to the big pier, on the north side in Vorupør. Vahine Itchner shot the pictures in this gallery.. (more…)
Vorupør 27.03.2011. From flat to “full on” in an hour.
We arriwed in Vorupør around 3 pm, only to find a flat ocean!! According to the weather forecast, 2 meter waves were on the way, but looking at the ocean, it was a bit optimistic to belive that this would happen. Some left, but we were a few who jumped in the soup any way. Within an hour, the waves startede to build, and from then on, we were surfing clean and powerfull headhigh waves. Soon after, about 15 surfers joined us. It was a “hit and run” session for me, so no pictures this time, sorry! // Mads Ejstrup

West Coast action..
Just returned to DK after a refreshing 10 days surftrip to Lanzarote. It’s hard to beat good surf in warm waters, but it looks like someone had a pretty good time to, on the Westcoast of Jutland. Tjek out this raport/pictures on Bluemag.eu

The wind was strong side off in Vorupør yesterday, and occasionally a really nice set came through. I shot a few pictures with my phone before I went out.

Vorupør south side 25.01.2011 Framegrabs
As promised Finn Noer send me the video framegrabs, from the session on the south side of the pier in vorupør, that we had a few days ago.
Vorupør south side delivers again…
We were a few guys, who had a sick session on the south side of the pier today. It was very similar to the one we had on the 7′th of January, but ewen better. Finn Noer (noerfilm.dk) was on the beach filming, collecting fottage for at surf project. He’s been on the spot with his camera several times lately, and to my knowledge, it’s is the first surf project in Denmark, filmed with high end cameras. I’m sure there are many who look forward to seeing the footages.
Finn will send me some framegrabs from today’s session, and when I get them, I will post them in a gallery.// Mads Ejstrup
